Pursuing its development and growth process undertaken a few years ago, Eurotexfilati continues to invest in new technologies and has recently concluded negotiations for the purchase of a new machine for the coating and drawing of high tenacity fibres, i.e., for the coating process, due in mid-February.
The coating process consists of coating the individual yarn strands with water-based chemical substances to improve their characteristics. The yarns are coated with anti-abrasion, water-repellent, ultra water-resistant, water-blocking, or marine-finish treatments; at the same time as the treatment, the yarn can also be dyed.
Thanks to this investment, Eurotexfilati will be able to triple the production capacity related to the coating process; the new machine can coat up to 52 yarns in parallel and guarantees that more than 650 kg, depending on the yarn count, can be processed in a single working day, with a potential output therefore of approx. 20 tonnes per month.
To ensure maximum production flexibility, this machine has dual yarn impregnation technology and a dual pressing system. By changing the yarn path, it is possible to choose the impregnation-pressing mode best suited to the yarn being processed. This will allow different types of yarn (flat yarn, half cables, cables or braids), with counts between 500 and 50,000 dtex, to be processed.
The machine has the best IoT digital technologies to ensure product safety and traceability, such as an integrated video system that monitors the crucial sections of the process and enables prompt action if problems are encountered.
This new system is in addition to the existing one dedicated to the coating process, ensuring greater production capacity and flexibility and new quality standards.
