In the ever-developing market of synthetic fibres and yarns, which is increasingly focused on more sustainable, recycled or biodegradable materials that, nevertheless, retain characteristics of high tenacity and can even replace metal fibres in various applications, more and more importance is being given to Research and Development activities. Eurotexfilati has therefore decided to strengthen its R&D department by means of a collaboration agreement with the University of Trento to develop new multifunctional yarns for industrial applications.
This agreement involves a Resident Engineer at Eurotexfilati, Roberto Cescato, under the direct coordination of the scientific head of the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Trento, Prof. Andrea Dorigato, as well as the provision of equipment, laboratories, researchers and technical staff from the same Department.
With this initiative, the company intends to boost its interaction with the customers in its market and the service it provides while developing specific projects, for example: developing new applications using yarns made from new polymers, evaluating the potential, applications and market opportunities of yarns based on recycled polyester, or developing multifunctional coatings.
We are very proud to have Roberto join our team. After an excellent academic career in fibres and composites, he will now support Eurotexfilati in developing new products by providing all the technical support required thanks to his expertise.
A very warm welcome to Roberto!
